Al Makke is the Head of Humanoid Robotics for North America at Schaeffler. In this role, he leads the regional strategy and technical development for the humanoid robotics business unit, focusing on advancements in actuator architectures, sensors fusion, and vertical integration for scalable next-generation hardware. Throughout his 15-year career at Schaeffler, Makke has held several leadership positions, including Director of Chassis R&D and Manager of Chassis Engineering. He has been instrumental in scaling mechatronic systems. Makke holds a BASc in mechanical engineering from the University of Windsor, an MSc in mechatronic systems engineering from Lawrence Technological University, and an Executive MBA from Michigan State University.
