Laith Alhussein

Dr. Laith Alhussein is co-founder and CEO of Hesy Tech, a company building AI-powered robotics to automate preventive dental procedures. He earned a PhD in Engineering Sciences and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, where his research combined robotics and machine learning to study motor control in the brain.

Before founding Hesy Tech, Laith worked at NASA and later joined Kanarys, Inc., where he led the data science and AI group and helped guide the company to a successful exit.

At Hesy Tech, Laith’s mission is to apply safety-first robotics and clinically grounded AI to shift dentistry from a reactive sickcare model to true preventive healthcare, expanding access to consistent, high-quality care at scale. He partners closely with clinicians, engineers, and regulators to translate research-grade automation into reliable medical products.
