Matthew Theurer is the CEO of HyperSpectral, a company merging hyperspectral imaging, Raman spectroscopy, and AI for rapid, automated pathogen detection. With over 30 years of experience architecting and deploying IT solutions, Matt is a seasoned tech executive and entrepreneur. Prior to joining HyperSpectral in 2022, he served as the eVP of Service Delivery at Beep, Inc., where he managed daily operations for autonomous mobility networks. Matt also co-founded the enterprise cloud provider Virtustream, helping lead the company through multiple growth phases until its $1.2 billion acquisition by EMC in 2015. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Brigh Technologies, serving as its President and CIO.
Matt holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Outside of work, he is an instrument-rated private pilot.
