Future of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Workshop Co-locates With Robotics Summit & Expo
The Future of Mechatronics & Robotics Engineering (FoMRE) Education working group is conducting a workshop on June 6, 2019, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Seaport World Trade Center during the Robotics Summit & Expo.
The FoMRE workshop is open to anyone interested in shaping the future of mechatronics and robotics education. While there have been many educational initiatives focused on robotics engineering in higher education, they have not been well integrated or widely adopted. The educators in this nascent community continue to re-invent content modules, courses, and curricula instead of adopting and improving existing content.
To address these challenges, the FoMRE working group has conducted a series of workshops to advance mechatronics and robotics engineering education at the bachelor’s degree and postgraduate levels. For the Boston event, the FoMRE working group invites participation from educators, researchers, and industry representatives.
Registration is required, but there is no charge to participate. FoMRE workshop participants are welcome to attend the Robotics Summit & Expo, and a number of discounted passes will be available for workshop attendees.
To register, please email Michael Gennert at email@example.com.
Limited travel assistance is provided for FoMRE Workshop participants. To receive more information about travel assistance, please contact Michael Gennert (firstname.lastname@example.org).
