Juan Necochea is the director of strategic partnerships at MassRobotics, the largest independent innovation hub for robotics commercialization in the United States. In this role, he identifies, prospects, and closes all partnerships, develops symbiotic relationships with large corporate organizations, and creates customized programming to drive strategic business goals. Prior to joining MassRobotics, Juan worked as a consultant for MIT Solve, where he helped to build a multi-sector community to address global challenges around health, learning and economic prosperity. He also worked as a people operations manager at Mesodyne, where he sustained the startup’s operations and advised on its development. As the director of operations and networks at ChileMass, a Massachusetts-based non-profit that catalyzes collaboration between Chile and the Commonwealth in the areas of energy, technology, education, and venture capital, he designed the organization’s processes, consolidated partnerships, and organized conferences to promote opportunities in frontier technologies. Juan has also worked as a corporate manager for commercial training at LATAM Airlines Group, where he oversaw the strategic development of all commercial-related training and certification for the airline’s sales force.
