Kevin Blankespoor is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Warehouse Robotics at Boston Dynamics. He led and contributed to the development of the BigDog, LS3, Atlas, Handle, and Stretch robots. Blankespoor’s Warehouse Robotics team is focused on building flexible mobile robots capable of taking on all of the box handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers. He also wrote the control software that first enabled Boston Dynamics’ legged robots to dynamically balance and walk outside in the real world. Blankespoor received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
