Mark Smithers is the co-founder and CTO of Boston Engineering. He leads the company’s strategic development and directs the company’s
intellectual property (IP) innovations. Mark combines his product development and business experience to guide customers towards commercialization success. Mark also manages the Boston Engineering Innovation Center, which provides product development, design for manufacturing, and process improvement services backed by grants on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mark’s previous experience includes serving as director of engineering for Herbst LaZar Bell, Inc., as program manager for MPM Corporation, as project design engineer for Foster-Miller, Inc., and as design engineer for Daymarc Corporation. He holds a M.S., Mechanical Engineering, Northeastern University and a B.S., Mechanical Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell.
