As Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Boston Engineering, Mark Smithers oversees the company’s strategic business units and project management operations. He combines his experience as a systems engineer and innovator with business expertise to ensure that Boston Engineering’s customers succeed. Prior to Boston Engineering, Smithers served as Director of Engineering for Herbst LaZar Bell, Program Manager for MPM Corporation, Project Design Engineer for Foster-Miller, and Design Engineer for Daymarc Corporation.
Smithers is a former chairman of the New England SEMI Group, and member of the MassTLC Robotics Cluster, AUVSI New England, the New England Innovation Alliance, and MassMEP board of directors. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston.
