Michael Eichermueller is the Director of R&D for hardware development at HaptX, responsible for overseeing the incorporation of new haptic technologies into the HaptX ecosystem as well as integrating HaptX technology into new applications and market segments. During his tenure at HaptX, he has led the hardware design efforts for the flagship DK2 and G1 product lines as well as various unique R&D projects for customers. In 2019, as a founding member the Converge Telerobot Consortium with Shadow Robot Company and Tangible Research, he co-developed a state-of-the-art telerobotic system that can transmit touch feedback, high-fidelity motion capture and dexterous manipulation halfway around the world, allowing operators to naturally interact with their remote environments.
