Parag Batavia is the Founder and President of Neya Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Applied Research Associates (ARA). Over his 20+ year career in robotics, Parag has worked at universities, large defense primes, and small businesses. His technical background is focused on off-road autonomy and perception, and he was an early member of the Carnegie Mellon Navlab group, which developed one of the first highway-capable self-driving vehicles in the 1990s. Parag started Neya Systems in 2009 as the sole founder, and grew the company to over 30 employees before it was wholly acquired by ARA in 2017.
