Manager, Outreach and Partnerships | MITRE Corporation
Russ Graves currently leads MITRE’s outreach and partnerships with the innovation ecosystem in the Northeast. As a not-for-profit company that manages multiple federally funded research and development centers, MITRE works in the public interest and across the government to serve as an innovation bridge – to rapidly bring commercially available innovative ideas, technology, services, and products into the federal government to solve global challenges in safety and security. Russ also manages the ISR Engineering and Analysis Department within the Space, Cyber, and Intelligence Division. His department supports a variety of government programs by exploring algorithms and methods for processing, exploiting, and disseminating large datasets.
Earlier in his career, Russ developed signal processing software at the National Security Agency and in the Vestibular Lab at the Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Hospital collecting and analyzing eye movements to detect inner-ear imbalances. Both opportunities exposed him to high performance computing and neural networks.
Russ holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and MS in Software Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
