Thomas Palomares has been passionate about farming since his early childhood when he spent weekends at his grandparents’ dairy farm. Early in his career, Palomares was a research assistant at Stanford University’s Department of Computer Science and worked as a data scientist at IBM Research and TrueCar. He holds a Master’s in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. In 2016, with classmate and long-time friend Sebastien Boyer, Palomares co-founded FarmWise with the desire to help vegetable farmers shift to more sustainable farming practices. They were both named to the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
