Tiffany Cappellari is an Engineer in the Robotic Software section at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). She works across industrial manipulation and vehicular autonomy. Cappellari is SwRI’s primary ambassador to the MoveIt working group that enables new functionality for the motion planning and robot control open-source software. She is also heavily involved in ROS-Industrial and teaches engineering professionals how to use the Robot Operating System. Prior to her time at SwRI, Cappellari taught students in the UC Berkeley robotics labs. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
