Form & Function Challenge

MassRobotics Form & Function Robotics Challenge participants will be showcasing their prototypes on the Robotics Summit & Expo floor.

The challenge calls for university teams to build a robot that delivers a compelling form factor specific to its tasks while accomplishing a useful function. It also encouraged collaboration between state-of-the-art software and hardware providers, including MassRobotics strategic partners AMD, Dassault Systèmes, Harmonic Drive, Maeden, Maxon and Mitsubishi Electric. 

The challenge requires selected applicants to use the offerings from a minimum of two of MassRobotics’ partners.

The grand prize of $10,000, along with $1,000 prizes for the second-place, third-place and Audience Choice winners, will be announced at 1:15 PM on May 28 at the Engineering Theater on the Robotics Summit expo floor. Information about voting will be given as part of your registration.
