Dr. Carlson has been a researcher and software engineer with CEVA’s Sensor Fusion Business Unit (formerly Hillcrest Laboratories) since 2014. At CEVA he has led the research and development of efficient and high-performance sensor calibration and fusion algorithms for accurate dead reckoning in ground-based indoor robots. Doug holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University and a PhD in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, where his research focused on low power wireless communication protocols for long-term environmental research deployments.
