Durval Tavares is the Founder of Aquabotix, a technology leader in portable underwater vehicles. He has logged over 20 years working with underwater technology, including AUV, ROV, submarine and torpedo systems development for advanced defense projects and private contractors. His work at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center on submarine technology included several patents in his name. While at Fidelity Investments for 10 years, Tavares was a senior executive responsible for leading new product development for the financial services giant. He earned his BSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, graduating first in his class.
