Gregory Fischer has spent his career developing innovative technologies for image-guided surgical interventions. He is a pioneer in MRI-compatible surgical robotics capable of utilizing real-time images from inside the body to guide precision robot-assisted interventions. Dr. Fischer is a Founder of AiM Medical Robotics, a company leveraging technology from his team’s research to revolutionize the neurosurgery experience. Previously, Dr. Fischer served as Professor of Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where his research focused on medical robotics, specifically the use of real-time feedback to guide surgical procedures. He was also the Founding Director of the PracticePoint Research and Development Center for Healthcare Cyber-physical Systems, a state-supported Medtech accelerator. Dr. Fischer is also a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors.
