Kevin DeMarco received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2016 and he is a graduate of the Georgia Tech Creative Destruction Lab Accelerator. After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. DeMarco accepted a Senior Research Engineer position at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). His academic research at GTRI was focused on multi-robot path planning, nonlinear optimization, and decentralized task assignment. Dr. DeMarco is the creator of the open-source multi-agent simulator, SCRIMMAGE, which is used to conduct research in multi-agent reinforcement learning in academia, industry, and government research labs (e.g., U.S. Naval Research Lab, U.S. Air Force Research Lab, and DARPA). Dr. DeMarco has designed and fielded applied robotic systems that fly, roll, swim and grab.
