Thane, a lifelong engineer and inventor, founded Hominid X to create wearable tools that empower individuals to regain the use of their hands. He has occupied various technical leadership positions throughout his career, including lead engineer at a prosthetics company, Desktop Metal, and Formlabs. Thane is using his experience in robotics, medical devices, and manufacturing to help bring fast and impactful changes to a slow-moving market. His interests include bio-inspired robot actuators, brain-computer interfaces, and human augmentation.
